Jeremiah the Movie

Wejew movie of the week - Jeremiah:

"The film ‘Jeremiah’ character sketches one of Israel’s most important prophet - Jeremiah. When Israel is being captured by the superpower Babylon, Jeremiah asks the people to change their ways and re-establish the covenant with G-d, most high. It is a stunning film that calls the viewers to look into their own hearts and purify thereby creating a strong Israel. Israel’s strength lies not in its military might or the materialistic idols - whether it is money or goods, but the relationship with the one true G-d of the universe. As a people, we are called to be a lamp for all nations."

Nathan C.

No need to go out to a movie this Saturday night - save the money on gas, tickets, and popcorn and just pull up a chair and click here to see the movie:

A Musical about Shlomo Carelbach!

This is unbelievable. I don't think Shlomo Carelbach would've believed it himself.

A Broadway musical about Shlomo Carlebach

Who would've thought? He was always the counter-culture and never the mainstream. It took his passing to bring his music into the Jewish mainstream and now a Broadway musical!

If you love Shlomo Carelbach (and your understanding of the laws pertaining to hearing a woman sing does not forbid you from seeing a Broadway musical) then you must see this musical.

I just saw the video promo on wejew.com which led me to the musical's website. But I know nothing more than what is written on the website.

Does anybody have more information about this new musical? If you do please contact @12tribefilms on twitter or avi at 12 tribe films dot org. I'd love to hear the inside scoop about this show.

I have no idea if it is good or not, but who cares. How often is there a musical about a great Jewish musician?

Check out the musical promo right here at Home Game TV!

Saturday Night at the Movies on Wejew.com: Esther

The Story of Esther

Following the conquest of Babylon, the King of Persia gives a banquet for his people at which he requests the presence of his wife, Vashti.  As she refuses the King's demand, Ahasuerus disowns Vashti and goes in search of her replacement. In his harem, he meets the young girl Esther who immediately captivates him with her charm and beauty.

Unaware of her Jewish heritage, King Ahasuerus falls in love with Esther.  Esther then reveals to Ahasuerus that she is Jewish and asks him to show her people mercy, because of a planned genocide of the Jews by the King's right hand man, Haman.
